SynAthina is the common space which brings together, supports and facilitates citizens’ groups engaged in improving the quality of life in the city of Athens.

For its project “Athens a cooperative city” I was commissioned to design a publication that would present how the reuse of 4 buildings in the city of Athens would provide a new type of sustainable development with high social value, and a resilient new city within the old.

The use of raw photos in combination with colourful illustrations captures the contrast between the old and new urban reality. The playfulness of the illustrations also reduces the distance between the municipality and its inhabitants.
